Tony Van de Calseyde specialises in employment law and social security law. He has broad expertise gained over many years in the various domains of individual and collective employment law, as well as social security law, focusing, in particular, on supplementary pensions. Following his traineeship at the Antwerp Bar, he co-managed a company in the private sector for three years, after which he joined the Bar again. Tony Van de Calseyde teaches social law in the Mediation postgraduate training programme at UA and UGent, regularly speaks at employment law seminars and has written many publications on this discipline. He assists both employers and employees with advisory services, in (appeal) court proceedings, and also has experience with proceedings before the Constitutional Court.
“I go above and beyond the line of duty to defend the client’s interests. If the client is a company, this means carrying on until I find a satisfactory solution to the issues obstructing and even threatening its development. If the client is a private individual, this means doing my utmost best defending his or her rights.”
BUYSSENS EMPLOYMENT LAWYERS is a niche law firm specialized in all aspects of employment law, such as labour law and social security law, including supplementary pensions. In addition, we also provide advice about contracts between self-employed persons and competition issues.
We are a new player in the market, and yet not quite. The law firm was founded in March 2017, but its partners have nearly 45 years and 20 years of experience respectively. Therefore, we can build on very broad experience. Following due consideration, we have opted to only practise employment and social security law. Specializing in this field provides the best guarantee for both efficiency and high-quality work. However, this does not prevent our lawyers from focussing on other legal disciplines. This encourages “out of the box” thinking and generates new insights.
Our clients are large, medium-sized and small companies, but we also assist private individuals with a business profile facing issues in the field of employment and social security law.
BUYSSENS EMPLOYMENT LAWYERS has its roots in Antwerp. We provide our clients with expert advice or represent them in (appeal) courts or the constitutional court.
