Barbara is a French citizen living in Cyprus from 2002. She graduated from the Law School of Dijon University, France. She further obtained a postgraduate degree (Diplôme d'Etudes Superieures Spécialisées) in Geopolitics from Marne-la-Vallée Paris University, France. She has been practicing IP at Markides, Markides & Co from 2006. In 2008 she took the Cyprus Bar Exam and is from then a practicing Lawyer specialized in IP. In 2009 she finished with success a course on Patents offered by WIPO worldwide academy. Within Markides, Markides & Co law firm she is a partner and the head of the IP Law Department. She speaks fluently French, Greek and English.
