You’re Invited: What Will Super Tuesday Mean for Healthcare? | Monday, March 2, 2020

More than a third of the U.S. population will head to the polls on March 3. Find out how their votes could impact healthcare in a new Manatt webinar. Click here to register free.

Fourteen states—including, for the first time, California and Texas, the two most populous states—will hold a presidential primary on Super Tuesday. As a result, on March 3, more than a third of the U.S. population is eligible to cast their votes for the candidates of their choice—and healthcare is likely to be a central issue determining their decisions. According to a new Gallup poll, healthcare sits at the top of the list of American’s key concerns heading into the election, with 81% of respondents ranking it important to their vote, more than any other issue.

With healthcare playing such a central role in the election, what could the Super Tuesday results mean for healthcare stakeholders? On March 2—the day before Super Tuesday—Manatt Health will explore these questions in a new webinar that will deliver a “deep dive” into the healthcare issues and policies shaping the election season. Click here to register free. The webinar will:

  • Analyze the healthcare platforms and priorities of the top-polling Democratic candidates.
  • Examine the implications of candidates’ healthcare positions for major healthcare issues, including public insurance programs, drug pricing, the opioid and substance use disorder epidemic, and maternal mortality rates.
  • Explore the importance of the Super Tuesday results for healthcare organizations—and how the outcome could drive the healthcare debate and agenda in the months ahead.
  • Discuss the key healthcare issues and themes that are likely to emerge based on the winners (and losers) on March 3.

The webinar is the first in our 2020 election series, designed to provide ongoing analyses at the federal and state levels of candidates’ healthcare policies and positions, evolving healthcare issues, and what to expect next in healthcare reform. Even if you can’t make our live session, click here to register free now, and you will receive a link to view the program on demand.
