Jude Popp began his career in law at Lawson Lundell, where he spent over 3 years in the commercial litigation group. It was here he gained experience in a broad range of litigation matters, including intellectual property, contract, insurance and property disputes. He also participated in numerous mediations and other informal negotiations on behalf of his clients.
Jude also brings to TVS an expertise and keen interest in technology. Prior to joining TVS, Jude worked for global software maker, SAP, where he advised on license compliance and policy relating to open source and commercial software. Prior to law school, Jude held various roles at software companies, including Business Objects and AeroInfo Systems-a subsidiary of Boeing. Jude plans to further expand his practice at TVS in the areas of intellectual property and contractual litigation involving software and technology.
He was called to the Bar of British Columbia in 2009 after completing his Law degree at the University of British Columbia. Jude also holds an Honours Bachelor of Arts degree in Philosophy from McMaster University.
A fitness enthusiast, Jude was a member of Canada’s national volleyball team in 1995.
