Smart Working: what happened in Intesi Group?

Everyone talks about it. We asked it directly to the Intesians who from 24 to 28 February radically changed their way of working. We launched a survey to understand if the “forced” experiment worked and what applicability it can have in the company.

About 60% of the respondents rated the SW experiment excellent and 35% very good. We can therefore fully affirm that in Intesi Group Smart Working, even if in emergency, has been successful.

85% worked the whole week in this mode (5 days) mostly from home.

More than half (65%) believe that this way of working increases productivity and for all respondents, smart working clearly favors the reconciliation between work and private life.

After the prolonged period of agile work, it emerged that the ideal number of days should not exceed two to three per week, even though 60% of respondents said they were less tired than normal office work.

So what are the strengths of smart working:

It is clear that the time variable is the advantage most perceived by the interviewees. More time for people and the family and cancellation of commuting time and the stress related to it. It is also interesting to note how people felt more concentrated and therefore more productive.

As for the weaknesses let’s see results:

It’s very interesting that almost 25% of respondents said there are no weaknesses, confirming the success of the experiment.

As could have been foreseen, what is most lacking is human relationship and sociality.

We just have to think about what has been called the largest agile work “laboratory” in the world. A unique opportunity to formalize and develop a model that is probably already much more efficient than you could have imagined.
