Salans a double winner in Rzeczpospolita ranking

Rzeczpospolita (the premier Polish newspaper) in its annual ranking of law firms ranked Salans No. 1 in Poland on the headline number of lawyers (144 lawyers). Salans is the one and only law firm in the 9 year history of the ranking to have broken the stranglehold of DZP*, which fell to 2nd; Cameron McKenna came 3rd.

The growing headcount fed directly into Salans’ earnings figures. At PLN 109.5 million Salans was ranked No. 1 law firm in terms of revenue for 2010, 2nd and 3rd were Cameron McKenna (PLN 108.8 million) and Clifford Chance (PLN 100.6 million). These are the only law firms in Poland with revenues for 2010 north of PLN 100 million.

It is a fantastic achievement on this highly competitive market and one that reflects eloquently on the drive and determination of our lawyers over the years to serve the needs of our clients and to implement our strategy of building a leading universal law firm in Poland and the region. – said Tomasz Dabrowski, Salans Warsaw managing partner.

As part of the ranking Salans and individual lawyers were recommended by other law firms in a number of practice areas. Pawel Debowski is recommended as a leader and the Salans real estate team as a vice-leader on the Polish market. Arek Krasnodebski and his team are recommended as No. 1 in the field of energy law. Salans also scored particularly highly in litigation & arbitration, banking & finance, competition, insolvency, and public procurement.
