Philip Mitchell leads the firm’s International Business and Corporate Finance Group. He has many years experience as an adviser to overseas enterprises doing business in Australia and the Asia-Pacific region. Fluent in Japanese, Philip’s previous experience has been with a large international law firm in its Sydney office and its other offices in the Asian region. He has also spent two years in Tokyo on secondment to the head office of a major Japanese corporation and has traveled extensively on business throughout Asia, Europe and North America. Philip has wide experience in corporate finance law, business law and transactions relating to the Asian region. This work includes project and infrastructure finance, loan facilities and security documentation, capital raising, mergers and acquisitions, commercial agreements, joint ventures, strategic alliances and the establishment of new businesses in Australia.
