KARÜN is not just another eyewear manufacturer, but a business that is simply described as revolutionary. Born in Patagonia and inspired by nature, the company is using recycled and natural materials to create the most unique eyewear in the way that respects the planet.
Founded in 2012, KARÜN’s first sunglasses collection used fallen trees in Patagonia, carefully selecting them rather than cutting any down.
In 2015 the company launched its first Kickstarter campaign, and delivered The Ocean Collection – the first glasses in the world made from 100% recycled fishing nets collected along the coast of Chile.
KARÜN decided to expand in Europe, and in 2016 EBS took care of the UK company formation. Since then, we have been working with KARÜN Europe, providing the full service, legal compliance, VAT, accounting and reporting.
The company continued to grow fast in Europe and opened its European office in Stockholm and launched its second successful Kickstarter campaign in 2017, The Clothing Collection- eyewear made with 75% recycled jeans and 25% bio-resin.
In the same year, the company started its collaboration with pro-sailors from Volvo Ocean Race and launched high performance Volvo Ocean Raced edition of its sustainable sunglasses, made from recycled fishing nets.
