Jausas Legal sponsors the AIJA Real Estate Commission

JAUSAS sponsors the AIJA Real Estate Commission and AIJA Tax Commission International Seminar, to be held in Barcelona on 4 and 5 February.

The Firm’s Administrative Law Department will also participate actively in the scheduled discussions and presentations

On 4 and 5 de February next, Barcelona will be hosting the international meetings of the Real Estate Commission and Tax Commission of the International Association of Young Lawyers (AIJA). JAUSAS will be actively involved in both events, which it is sponsoring.

The Real Estate Commission, made up of an active group of lawyers from different jurisdictions, is organising a number of talks and round tables dealing with public procurement in the particular current economic context. Roger Canals, senior associate at JAUSAS and a specialist in public procurement, as well as a member of that Commission, will appear as a speaker at the opening session and will also be moderating the session to be held under the title “The impact of the economic crisis and future trends in PPP-PFI projects.” Likewise, Maria Cedó, a senior associate at JAUSAS and a specialist in Competition Law, will be analysing “Antitrust Law and public tenders. Legal status of strategic public suppliers” in a presentation scheduled for 5 February.

The Tax Law Commission, for its part, is holding its fourth Annual Seminar at this event and has planned a number of sessions covering, among others, tax planning for expatriates and recent developments in the concept of permanent establishment, allocation of profits and transfer pricing.

AIJA is the only international organisation that brings together lawyers and heads of in-house legal departments under the age of 45. It has, over its extensive history, organised a large number of meetings, seminars and courses aimed at strengthening the relationship among its members and communicating the main legislative developments in the leading jurisdictions worldwide.
