Heather Culp Quoted by WSOC-TV Regarding Likely Epicentre Foreclosure

Bankruptcy partner Heather Culp was recently interviewed for a WSOC-TV article covering the foreclosure proceedings of Charlotte’s Epicentre.

In the interview, Heather described the process of the court putting the Epicentre up for auction and using a receiver to collect rent from tenants.

She commented, “If they are successful, an order will be filed by the clerk’s office allowing them to put the property up for auction on the courthouse steps. At the same time, what they’re asking a judge to do here, is to appoint a receiver to step in, in the meantime, and collect the rents from the tenants.”

As a member of the Panel of Chapter 7 Trustees for the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Western District of North Carolina, Heather regularly oversees the administration of chapter 7 bankruptcy cases. She also serves as a substitute trustee in commercial foreclosures in the greater Charlotte area and as a receiver and attorney for receivers and bankruptcy trustees.
