Had the most Interesting time leading a panel at the World Trademark Review.

Had the most interesting time leading a panel at the World Trademark Review (WTR) Brand Protection Conference this past week in #New York City featuring #Jenny Greisman who manages #IBM’s US, Canada and Latin America’s entire trademark portfolio; and #Meghan Nugent, Corporate Counsel for Stats Perform, a growth sports technology, gambling and team performance data organization.

We discussed that although the number of trademarks filed for enterprise, growth, and early stage companies may differ in the number trademarks filed, the process and strategy is analogous regardless of the size of the company.  We also discussed that because brands can grow faster than any other company asset, every company needs a brand protection strategy regardless of their size.

Other speakers came from counsel as diverse as #WeWork, #Thomson Reuters, #CoreSearch, #McKinsey & Co.,  #Verizon, #Nestle, USA and #Teva Pharmaceuticals.  I learned that each one of them wishes to maximize protection while minimizing costs.   In summary, enterprise companies care about budget also.

It was great to listen to experts who approach trademark/brand protection in the same comprehensive/cost effective way we try to at EmergeCounsel.  So honored!
