Francesco has been practicing as a tax advisor in both national and international tax law in a leading Italian tax law firm since 2004. He is LL.M. in International and Comparative Tax Law (Vienna University of Economics and Business – Austria) and obtained a Master Diploma in Taxation of Business Restructuring (IPSOA – Italy). Main areas of competence are corporate taxation, including IAS/IFRS, business restructurings, withholding taxes on outbound payments, international tax law and EU tax law. He is author of publications on tax matters, with particular regard to international tax law, both on Italian and international tax law journals and books, and is speaker at both Italian and international conferences. He acted as national reporter for Italy at the 2013 IFA annual congress on the topic “The taxation of foreign passive income for groups of companies” and at the 2010 annual seminar organized by Prof. Maisto on the topic “The Meaning of ‘Enterprise’, ‘Business’ and ‘Business Profits’ under Tax Treaties and EU Tax Law”. He is also lecturer at the Catholic University in Piacenza (Italy).
