Delaware Chapter 11: BroadVision, Inc.

Introduction

On March 30, 2020, (the “Petition Date”), BroadVision, Inc. (the “Debtor” or “Company”) filed a voluntary petition for relief under chapter 11 of the Bankruptcy Code in the United States Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware.

The Debtor is represented by DLA Piper.  The case has been assigned to the Honorable Christopher S. Sontchi. A hearing on the Debtors’ first day motions was held on April 1, 2020. The United States Trustee is soliciting interest to serve on an official committee of unsecured creditors and questionnaires are due by April 9, 2020, at 4:00 p.m.

This is a prepackaged bankruptcy.  The Company pioneered web-based e-commerce and was among the first to offer pre-integrated, packaged self-service web applications for process, commerce, portal and content management. The Company develops, markets, and supports enterprise portal applications that enable companies to unify their e-business infrastructure and conduct both interactions and transactions with employees, partners, and customers through a personalized self-service model that increases revenues, reduces costs, and improves productivity. The Debtor’s plan provides that unsecured creditors will be paid in full.
