ABM Chambers joins IR as the exclusive Employment Law (Corporate) Member in Uganda

IR Global, the world’s largest exclusive network of advisory firms is delighted to introduce Naomi Byabazaire Mwebaze of ABM Chambers has joined IR as our exclusive Employment Law (Corporate) in Uganda

Naomi is a partner at the firm and currently, in charge of Human Resources and Administration.

She has over 10 years’ experience as a corporate and commercial legal practitioner advising both local and international clients on Labor/Employment law, Human Resources matters, Immigration and Corporate law.

Naomi heads the Labor and Conveyancing Functions of the firm.

Naomi possesses the knowledge, dedication, and experience needed to represent both employees and employers in a wide variety of labor disputes and has litigated a number of cases in the industrial court.

She has represented both employees and employers in all manners of employment issues including; contract drafting and reviewing, policy drafting and reviewing, termination, disciplinary hearings, discrimination, harassment, and retaliation claims; medical leave claims; whistleblower claims; and unpaid wage claims and many others.

She also has experience in a broad range of land transactional/conveyancing matters assisting clients in acquiring land, title creation and registration so as to facilitate commercial activities, agriculture, residential activities to mention a few.

Naomi has and continues to conduct training on labor related matters for organizations.

She also specializes in debt collection and has assisted both corporate and individual clients to recover their debts.

Naomi sits as Director and or Corporation Secretary on a number of Boards and provides guidance on compliance, good corporate governance practices as well as international best practice.

She holds a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from the University of Heriot Watt, Edinburgh. She also has a Post Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice from the Law Development Centre, Kampala and a Bachelor of Laws from Makerere University, Kampala.

She is also a member of Uganda and East Africa law societies.

Naomi is also a Commissioner for Oaths.
