Tim D. Tribe, CPA/CFF, CFE, CICA is an experienced accounting professional, expert witness and fraud examiner and is the founding member of Ingen Financial Forensics. He has more than twenty-two years of experience in accounting and auditing and has worked with a diverse set of clients in a variety of industries ranging in size from less than one million dollars in annual revenue to over one billion. His post-graduate education has provided him an additional level of experience in statistical analysis and accounting research. His combined auditing, academic, and forensic accounting background has yielded experience in a variety of industries and areas of professional responsibility. Tim has also been asked to speak on fraud topics throughout the United States, in London, UK and Melbourne, Victoria, Australia.
Tim is a Certified Public Accountant in the State of Arizona (U.S.). He is Certified in Financial Forensics by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. He is also a Certified Fraud Examiner by the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners and is a Certified Internal Controls Auditor by the Institute for Internal Controls. Tim also holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Accountancy from Arizona State University, where he graduated Summa Cum Laude and holds a Master of Accountancy degree from Brigham Young University where he graduated with High Distinction.
Tim has experience in providing litigation support in both criminal and civil proceedings. He has assisted in the analysis of related financial information, the development of expert testimony and materials, and patterns, sufficiency of accounting evidence, analysis of internal control, accountants’ standard of care, economic damages (including personal injury, wrongful death, and wage losses), business interruption claims, and lost profits analyses. He has also been named as both a neutral expert and as a special master in various family law matters. Tim has testified more than 40 times in deposition, trial, arbitration, and various hearings.
Tim has been appointed as an appraiser by insurance carriers in the insurance appraisal process to resolve claim disputes. Tim has served as Deputy Receiver in receivership engagements. He also has experience providing consultation services in general disputes and internal examinations. Past consulting engagements include – royalty examinations, fraud examinations, business income loss analysis, inventory loss analysis, fidelity loss analysis, and internal controls analysis.Show more +
