Robert holds a LL.B (Hons) Degree from Makerere University, Uganda and a Postgraduate Diploma in Legal Practice from the Law Development Centre, Kampala. Before joining the firm, Robert worked with a commercial law firm based in Uganda.
Robert has considerable experience in advising on commercial transactions, negotiating terms of such transactional documentation, acquisitions, syndicated financing, conducting of legal due diligence and regulatory regime advice. Currently, he has been retained by a multi disciplinary corporation specializing in civil engineering projects based in the UK, on the Project Financing aspects related to the upgrading of a major road to Bitumen Standard on a Contractor Facilitated Financing (CFF) basis.
Robert has cultured an interest in project finance, e-banking and platform transactions, international commercial transactions, mergers and acquisitions, corporate governance, and intellectual property.
Robert is a member of Uganda Law Society and the East African Law Society and heads the firm’s Banking and Finance Department.Show more +
