Our Corporate Finance team are experienced business lawyers and undertake the lead advisor role on our client corporate finance transactional work and projects. Greenaway Scott is ranked the 2nd most active M&A adviser in Wales (Experian 2018).
The Corporate Finance team often work on transactional projects such as Mergers and Acquisitions, Management Buy-Ins and Buy-Outs, Investments, deal negotiations, Restructuring, De-Mergers, Debt and other restructures and AIM and LSE advisory and administration. The individuals in the Corporate Finance team provide clients with business in the life science sector advice on corporate strategy, structures and models to ensure clients maximise their capital value, business opportunities and scope.
Our Commercial & IP team are dual qualified with a science or mathematics degree in addition to their legal qualifications allowing them to “speak the same language” as our many bio-medical, life science and technology clients.
The Commercial team has expertise in drafting bespoke agreements tailored to the needs of our clients. The team covers a wide variety of agreements ranging from terms and conditions, master services agreements, non-disclosure agreements, licence agreements, distribution agreements, supply of goods and services agreements, and franchise agreements. We also look after our clients’ IP portfolio and advise how best to protect any IP arising from our clients’ businesses.
Our HR & Employment team is experienced in all aspects of employment law, advising a broad client base including FTSE companies, owner-managed businesses and start-ups in the life sciences sector. Our team is available “on demand” to provide remote HR assistance with matters such as employment contracts, recruitment strategies, staff handbooks and policies, grievances and disciplinary procedures.
Our Commercial Property team have experience with all aspects of commercial property developments and transactions.

Nigel is a Corporate Director and founder of Greenaway Scott. He set up Greenaway Scott in 2012 with the aim of creating a modern corporate and commercial law firm.
Recognised for his commercial acumen and efficient, pragmatic delivery of advice to clients, Nigel has over 20 years’ experience in corporate finance and has led on a number of published international transactions including:
- USD $76,000,000 disposal of Brecon Pharmaceuticals to AmerisourceBergen Corporation;
- £12,000,000 private equity investment into TrakCel by Silicon Valley PE house Telegraph Hill;
- Cross border acquisition trail for Flexicare Medical (UK, Italy, Germany, France);
- Cross border acquisition trail for US based Clinical Innovations (UK & France)
Nigel is also an active non-executive director with roles at a number of companies in the technology sector.
