Mr. Rogowski is an AV-rated attorney and practices in the area of commercial litigation, real estate litigation, real estate transactions, eminent domain, property tax appeals, and land use law. He is a 1990 graduate of Albion College (BA in History), where he was a member of the Mortar Board and the Gerald R. Ford Institute for Public Service. Mr. Rogowski subsequently graduated from the University of Detroit Mercy School of Law (JD, cum laude), where he was a member of the Justice Frank Murphy Honor Society, the Moot Court Board of Directors, and the American Inns of Court. Mr. Rogowski was President of the Barristers of the Detroit Metropolitan Bar Association in 2003-2004, was a member of the 2004 and 2006 DMBA Judicial Candidate Evaluation Committee, and held the position of Barrister in the Oakland County Inn of Court.
After graduation from law school, Mr. Rogowski joined the law firm of Butzel Long and became a shareholder in 2002. Mr. Rogowski subsequently formed the law firm Berry Reynolds & Rogowski, PC where he practiced from 2004 – 2012; Friedlaender Rogowski, PLC from 2013 – July, 2016 and Friedlaender Nykanen & Rogowski, PLC from July 2016 to the present.
Mr. Rogowski represented the property owner in the Michigan Supreme Court case Alibri v Detroit Wayne County Stadium Authority, which established significant safeguards for property owners threatened by eminent domain. Mr. Rogowski has handled numerous complex commercial and real estate litigation matters during his career.
