Jose Raul is a constitutional law attorney, with experience as a public and private trial lawyer, and in the Judiciary. His professional activities in these areas enables him to anticipate legal scenarios and design innovating strategies for preventing and providing assistance in problems.
As a private attorney, José has litigated and won high-profile cases involving taxes, customs and other administrative regulations, freedom of expression, religious freedom, the right to honor and freedom of information, as well as criminal due process. He has also advised private and public entities in matters involving procurement contracts and infrastructure projects.
As a government official, José advised on the legal intricacies of the procurement of goods and services and the distribution of federal funds. He developed normative projects related to access to justice, games and lotteries, religious freedom and public security. He was also in charge of the attention of more than 40,000 amparos and successfully represented the Ministry in cases related to games and lotteries, media regulations, immigration matters, among others.
During his work in the Supreme Court of Justice of the Nation, he worked on cases related to administrative law, especially challenges to various taxes. He also participated in the analysis of constitutional issues related to human rights, such as the legal interruption of pregnancy.
