Known for his pragmatic attitude and resoluteness, Joost Kokje assists his clients passionately, always doing his utmost to secure the best possible outcome for them.
Education and career
Joost graduated from Leiden University where he obtained his Master’s degree in Civil Law with merit in 2014. Joost was admitted to The Hague Bar Association at the end of 2014 and then took up employment at De Clercq. Prior to this, he did work in legal practices at several civil-law notary firms, law firms and legal consultancy firms, while also volunteering at The Hague Legal Advice Centre. Joost completed the vocational training for his legal profession with merits.
Within the Employment, Employee Participation & Pensions practice group at De Clercq, Joost focusses mainly on flexible employment (i.e. platform workers and outsourcing), cross border employment and employment-related advice in the M&A team of De Clercq (i.e. restructuring of companies and advising the board of directors). He advises, litigates and publishes regularly in these subareas of labour law.
