Dr. Zsolt FÜSTHY is a senior managing partner at Füsthy and Mányai Law Office, specialized in labour law, M&A transactions and banking law.
Zsolt has a wide range of experience in M&A transactions, banking and labour law matters. He started his career as an assistant judge. After that Zsolt worked at the Ministry of Justice and Ministry of Finance where he gained lots of experience in administration law. Then Zsolt held a position as thehead of financial and civil law department at theHungarian Commercial and Credit Bank Co. Ltd and Daiwa-MKB (Hungary) Investment and Securities Co. Ltd. In these positions Zsolt was engaged in financial and banking law, securities transactions and privatization processes, too. Zsolt was admitted to the bar in 1994 and has got over 20 years' expertise in the field of labour law.
Zsolt earned a doctor degree from Eötvös Loránd University and awarded two postgraduate degrees of EC Law and Environmental Law. Zsolt won scholarships in Florence, European University Institute, Academy of European Law (1990) and London (1995), working for Mishcon de Reya Solicitor’s Firm and 3/4 South Square Barristers’ Chamber.Zsolt is a member of the Budapest Bar Association and the International Bar Association, as well as FIDE (la Federation Internationale pour le Droit European) Hungarian Association.
He is co-author of many legal publications, such as Transnational Litigation: A Practitioner’s Guide, Oceana Publications and the Handbook of Labour Law, Wolters Kluwer. He has contributed plenty of labour law articles in professional journals. Zsolt is fluent in English, Italian and Russian.
Interests: Zsolt's interests outside work include playing chess, bridge and wine tasting.

Individual labour and employment law

We can support our clients being employers in drafting collective agreements, negotiating social compensation plans and negotiating with the labour union and the works council.

We offer more than assistance with individual cases. We also support our clients’ HR staff in their day-to-day activities.

We usually charge our fees on hourly basis but sometimes we make different types of arrangements, as well, particularly, if a given project is outlined. If it is required our fee structure may consist of a combination of a retainer fee and an hourly rate. In any and all cases we intend to shape our fee policy in accordance with the interests and possibilities of the client. Court cases are subject to special arrangements, depending on the nature and value of the matter concerned.
We have been assigned by various clients in the abovementioned fields from almost all of the European countries and also overseas countries, including the territory of Asia, North and South America.
We can involve auditors, tax specialists, book-keepers or other experts, if the case so requires.
We offer our services mainly in Hungarian, English and German languages but some of our lawyers speaks French, Italian and Russian languages, too.
