The creation of CT-Avocats in 2009 was inspired by the realization that the development of Africa depends largely on the fortification and modernization of its economic sector.
CT-Avocats’s practice is focused on supporting and facilitating the establishment and development of Small & Medium-sized Enterprises and Investments (SME & SMI) and Foreign Direct Investments (FDI) in the OHADA area.
As part of its continuous growth, the Firm has created in addition to its pioneer Business and Investment Law Department, other Departments including Common Law, Criminal Procedure, OHADA Law, Insurance and Transport Law, Arbitration, Intellectual Property and Recoveries Departments.
In view of the economic attractiveness of the continent, CT- Avocats opened in 2017, its Paris office with the dual objective of getting closer to its international clientele and providing African business owners with a global legal offer integrating the negotiation of technical and financial partnerships on measurement with large European groups.
CT-Avocats is currently working on opening another office in a country in the OHADA region. CT-Avocats delivers timely and cost-effective solutions in contracts and transactions with an emphasis on thorough investigation and meticulous planning. With a foundation built on longstanding relationships with their clients, CT- Avocats values the trusts clients place in its services and works hard to provide a solid and effective representation to meet those diverse legal needs.
Looking at the future with optimism to meet the challenges of the coming years, that is to participate in the emergence of Africa of a real economy based on SME and SMI whose evolution is now ensured by the legal and judicial guarantee of the OHADA legislation in the field of Business law, Barrister Charles TCHUENTE was inspired to set up the Cameroon Business Lawyers Association (CBLA) in 2019, where he currently acts as the Pioneer President.
In this light, CT-Avocats recently opened an ultra-modern conference hall for continuous legal education on business law and other related subjects. The activities of CBLA officially commenced in February 2020. CBLA has organized a series of trainings and conferences.
Having recognised the fact that the ultimate end of doing business is the all-round fulfilment of man and communities, CT-Avocats has resolved to keenly uphold and to advise its cherished clientele to strive to balance profit maximization and the respect for humanity as a corporate culture in line with international standards of business and human rights.
CT-Avocats’s progressive work ethic and corporate culture are inspired by its deep commitment to the highest quality standards such as the QC100 Total Quality Management Model, which led it to receive the prestigious international awards such as the “Gold Award for Excellence and Business Prestige” in 2015, during the Quality Summit held in New York organized by Business Development Initiative; appointment as Quality Ambassador by BID Group One and the “ESOR’s Quality Choice Prize 2016” in Berlin alongside global multinationals BMW, Air Canada and Kikkoman organized by the European Society for Quality Research.
